The Journey Begins

As I stare at a blank sheet of paper, something that I read long ago pops into my head: The secret of getting ahead is getting started.

I must pick up my pencil and start to write if I want to be a children’s book author and if I want to “get ahead” in this new venture.

Write something, Nan. Come on, you can do this. You’ve read a gazillion picture books. Start writing. It’s a children’s book for Pete’s sake. They’re short. How hard can this be?
