Another happy reader!
John and I are vendors in Cape Charles, Va. for the 4th of July Festival. A young girl walks up to our table and announces, “I love books, and I’m a very good reader.”
I hand her a copy of You Can’t Judge a Bee by its Color and invite her to read it to me. She proceeds to read the entire story. (Did I mention that she’s only 7 years old?)
She then turns to her mother and states, “Mommy, I need this book.”
Her mother smiles and asks, “Do you folks take a credit card?”
